Hello everybody! Just thought I should tell you a main influence of my groups movie elements that we have incorparated into our opening.
Our main movie that we used elements from is the film 'Pineapple Express'. Both that film and our opening feature elements of drugs, action and comedy. However, our plot is a little different from the plot of Pineapple Express (PE). While PE's story consists of a drug addict witnessing a murder that is carried out by a drug boss and a corrupt police officer, and is then forced into a action packed adventure along with his drug dealer's supplier and his drug dealer himself, ours is about a drug boss wanting to simply kill a drug dealer so interrogates one of the dealer's customers and leads the customer and his friend (also a customer) on a quest to save their dealer.
We wanted comedy in our opening from the start so that's why we chose PE as an influence to help us. Both ours and PE's story has comedy, action and drugs. On the other hand, PE does have some mild elements of romance which is something that is absent from our film.
